Our chat program allows you to block a user that you don't want to talk to at any point in time. In order to do so, select the user you want to block and click the red "Ignore" button under their name. They should no longer be able to contact you.
Please be advised that if that user creates a new account to harass you, we ask that you talk to an owner, administrator or moderator so that we can warn them to stop or remove them from chat.
Yes. This is an R-rated chat. So long as you do not use the N-word or the C-word or other racial or homophobic slurs, you can freely use curse words.
Please note that you can not curse at someone.
The only exception to this rule is in certain side rooms where cursing is not allowed. If cursing is not allowed in those rooms, you will be told of such in the room topic when you enter the room.
Like everything else, we do ask that you use curse words in moderation. If your cursing gets out of control, you may be politely asked by an owner, administrator or moderator to stop.

You are likely registered as just a guest. Guests only have access to the Lobby.
This is by design.
The staff of chatters.world are veterans from other chat rooms. We know that guest users cause most issues on other websites. We also know that guests often log in as such to get a feeling for the website. We also know that registered users really do not like guests bugging them.
We came to a bit of a compromise. Guests can come into the lobby to see all the awesome things we do right and then register if they like what we do.
Explicit chat includes public cybersex, offering to trade services or money for cybersex or other internet or real-life activity (eWhoring) or posting text promoting your genitalia.
If we see that type of activity in any public room, you will be banned.
An explicit pic is any picture or gif that shows off a body part that you would not be able to see in a mainstream publication that is sold to minors.
We use United States rules in interpreting this rule, therefore, anything showing a naked buttocks, breast or other genitalia is not allowed in chat.
Any borderline pic which, for example shows a clear outline of a penis exposed via underwear or panties is also not allowed.
You will be banned if you post a nude pic and warned, muted or kicked if you show a questionable borderline pic.
Most of the owners, site admins and moderators have migrated here from another chat site where naked pictures were allowed. That brought out the absolute worst in people and attracted a lot of unscrupulous bots that were trying to steal money from people.
We made a conscious decision on chatters.world to ensure that that kind of lawlessness would not happen here and ban all nudes.
Quite simply: We do not want to have teens or minors in our chatroom. We do not want them to even have the slightest opportunity to look at explicit material. We do not want the type of people who pick up minors in here.
As a result, we chose to make this room for those over the age of 18.
This is an issue with Google, who needs to adjust our quota.
The Youtube addon (accessible by clicking the + and selecting YouTube in the bottom left of your screen) will work from approximately 3 am Eastern until the quota runs out (normally sometime in the early afternoon Eastern time). Then we hit our quota and it won’t work anymore.
We are working with Google to adjust our quota so everyone can access YouTube via add-on located in the + in the bottom left of your screen.
In the interim: if YouTube isn’t working, just go to YouTube and copy the URL and paste it into the chatroom. Your video will appear.
While we do not require that you verify your user account, it is wise that you do so.
There have been times that the chat database gets corrupted and you must reset your password. In those instances, if you signed up with an unverified account with a fake e-mail address, you will be unable to reset your password because the reset password e-mail will not get to you.
Verifying your account ensures that the change password link will work in the event of catastrophic failure.
In most instances, you were muted, kicked or banned for breaking a chat rule. A list of chat rules is posted here.
If you feel like you were muted, kicked or banned in error, there are two things you can do.
1) create a guest account and politely ask an owner, admin or mod why you were muted, kicked or banned.
2) fill out the kick or ban appeal form here.
Note: if an owner, admin or mod tells you to fill out the form, do not argue with them. You will be banned instead.
Also note: if you attempt to willfully evade a mute, kick or ban, you will be banned.
